Sarah Burgess Sarah Burgess is a veteran journalist with more than two decades of experience as a storyteller, producer, and media executive. She most recently spent the past six years as News Director at Boston 25 News, the Fox Affiliate in Boston, MA. There she and her team were honored with a National Edward R. Murrow Award, seven regional Murrow Awards, numerous New England Emmy Awards, and MA Broadcasters station of the Year Award in 2023. Sarah is wrapping her first semester as an Adjunct Professor at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. Sarah is on the Board of Governors of the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Danielle Mannion – Student Awards Chair, Education Chair
Danielle Mannion serves as National Education Chair for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Danielle is the television/film teacher at Millis High School. Her students have won many awards including a Telly Award and many regional Student Television Awards for Excellence. Danielle has been a member of SAG/AFTRA for her work in front of the camera and as a voice over talent. She also works in the independent film industry as an art director. Danielle is a graduate of Syracuse University Newhouse School of Communications
DAVID BURT – Station Manager, Boston City TV and
Boston Kids & Family TV
David Burt is Station Manager for Boston City TV and Boston Kids and Family TV in Boston, Massachusetts. He began his television career as an intern at WPXT in Portland, Maine. Upon graduating from the University of Southern Maine, WPXT hired David full-time, where
he worked for over ten years in engineering, master control and the production and promotions departments. He helped create Maine’s first Fox Television Network affiliate, FOX51.
Mary Lou Palumbo – Co-Founder, LPMedia Creations
Mary Lou leads this New England based media production company offering complete video production, writing, voiceovers, and photography services.New England based media production company offering complete video production , writing, voiceovers, and photography services. With roles as CEO/Executive Director of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce and as Community Programming Manager at Cox Communications in Lincoln, Rhode Island, she understands regional tourism marketing where community media stations are essential.
Chuck Scott – An industry veteran of 15 years, Chuck had landed at Merrimack College as their Media Center Director after running his own company and producing/directing for multiple brands. His diverse background covers live broadcast, sports media, and general content creation for a multitude of clients.
Ben Ratner, an Emmy and Hometown Media Award winner, proudly got his start in community media at North Shore TV and GNPS/TV on Long Island. He is currently the Director of News Technology at Boston 25 News, and has worked with CNN, Sports Illustrated, StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Al Roker Entertainment. Ben graduated from Ithaca College, and has a strong affection for Diet Coke (no ice, it should be served cold).
