2019 ACM-NE Special Awards Luncheon

Each year, the Alliance for Community Media-Northeast Region asks its members to nominate the producers, staff and colleagues who are deserving of special recognition.

There are three special awards, The Brian Wilson Mentor Award, the Chuck Sherwood Leadership Award and the Rika Welsh Community Impact Award which will be given out on Friday, November 1st at 12pm at the ACM-Northeast Annual Conference in Portland, Maine at the Portland Westin Harborview Hotel.

Brian Wilson Mentor Award
This award recognizes an individual who has served as an inspiration and mentor to others in PEG media. The relationship between a student and a teacher is one that can have a profound, lifelong influence on both. This mentoring relationship gives confidence to the student while providing the teacher with a valued colleague. In the memory of Brian Wilson, a trusted counselor and guide.

Rika Welsh Community Impact Award

The content whether modest or large, would reflect the passion of the goal. Because of the use of PEG resources, a greater empowerment of purpose and appreciation of the value of those resources is achieved.
