What is it that makes one interview shot look so much better than another? Framing the subject, check. Background composition, check. Lighting, did you check? Are you making the best use of what is available to you? What are some of the simple fixtures and usage tips that can make an interview look great when you are on location? How are you using color? Documentaries tell stories, and—in those documentaries—it is the people who tell the stories. This workshop will help you make them look as good as possible.
Jonathan Lipsy is a lighting professional with over 20 years of experience. He has designed lighting for studios large and small as well as working in various conditions in the field. He continually shares his passion for great lighting with many PEG media centers in the Northeast.
