Owen Provencher is The Director of DerryCAM in Derry, NH, and the President of the NHCCM –The New Hampshire Coalition or Community Media. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Owen saw that PEG Media Centers in NH faced new challenges accessing “away” games and post-season events due to safety protocols and coverage rights issues. When families most needed to stay connected to local sports, free and open access for broadcasters became more complicated. After feedback from member media centers, The NHCCM rallied an action plan that evolved into the start of the NHCCM Sports Network in NH. Still embryonic, the network promises tremendous opportunities for Media Centers and Audiences Statewide
