The Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) Annual Meeting and Conference is scheduled for January 22-23 at the Hynes Convention Center and Sheraton Boston Hotel. One workshop at this conference will a panel on cable television license renewals, transfers, municipal and state cable oversight and regulatory updates. This panel will be moderated by Bill August, Esq. of Epstein & August, LLP in Cambridge. Bill moderated a similar workshop with Sue Buske, Mike Wassenaar and Jim Horwood at our Heart of Local Media conference in Hartford last November.
The MMA workshop, Community Impacts of Cable, Broadband and Over-the-Top Content, is set for the Saturday, January 23 session at 2:00 p.m. and will also include Michael Lynch, Director of the City of Boston Cable and Broadband Office and Sean Carroll, Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable.
