If you are reading this, you already know why community access is important. Have you ever had trouble convincing anyone outside of PEG circles–your local government officials or other community leaders? Would it help to have an articulate expert from elsewhere?
As part of a long effort to get this message across to state and local authorities, Maryann Arrien of ACM New York taped this 27-minute interview with our ACM president Mike Wassenaar during the October 2015 ACM-NE conference in Nashua. It became part of her state affiliate’s face-to-face meeting and roundtable discussion of the PEG access situation in upstate New York last April. A 1.5-hour recording of the roundtable, incorporating segments of the interview, will be available soon on the ACMNY website.
You can see the interview on Vimeo by clicking here. (Really, can it hurt to have Clark Kent’s doppleganger speaking for us?)
