New and Cool Stuff from the NE Region
I have to say that Jason Daniels is doing a bang-up job with the website. And, in creating a blog space, a Twitter account for the conference and using other great new media stuff, he's dragging us, (some of us kicking and screaming) into the 21st century.
As the current ACM-NE chair, I take none of the credit for the new and wonderful things that the board is doing, nor can I take much credit for the old and wonderful things the board is doing either. There are a lot of exceptional people on this board, They've worked worked hard planning the Spring Conference, updating the website, sending out newsletters, keeping an eye on our finances, watching over Public Policy in the various states, and assisting the state chapters with their work. They're also working with the National organization, and the other regions around the country to bring new and innovative ideas to us, for us. It's what makes the ACM great - all of these smart and willing volunteers!
So, to the board of ACM-NE, thank you. For making my job easy, getting so much work done, putting together a great conference that will inform and entertain lots of colleagues and friends, and sharing information with others in our region.
Hope to see a whole lot of you in Burlington!

Thanks for the kind words but it is a matter of survival that we learn to integrate and adopt these newfangled tools. Imagine that newspapers continue to disappear. We can capitalize on that. Public Access is like one big editorial page, right?
