Julio Wainer, Vice-director CNU/Vice-president ABTU, Canal Universitário de São Paulo and Brazilian Association for University TV
Julio Wainer was a close friend and collaborator to George Stoney from the 1980´s on. Thanks to Mr. Stoney, Mr. Wainer was awarded a Fulbright fellowship in US to study cable access and social documentaries by 1990. Fifteen US states were visited and Mr. Wainer had the opportunity to return to The Alliance National Meetings a couple of times. Few access colleagues were able to visit Brazil thanks to Mr. Wainer´s efforts, such as Dirk Koenig and Sue Buske, apart Stoney himself. Mr. Wainer runs TV PUC (www.tvpuc.com.br) a TV for Catholic University in São Paulo, Brazil, where he also teaches; is vice-director for University Channel in São Paulo (www.cnu.org.br) and vice-president for Brazilian Association for University TVs (www.abtu.org.br)
