Workshop Description: The panel will explain the requirements and tasks of a good license renewal process, and other important cable regulatory proceedings, including license transfer law and process, state governance frameworks, license compliance and needs ascertainment, all of which impact most media centers. The expert panel will also provide updates on how new FCC rules and orders will impact cable license renewals and initial licensing and updates on other potential changes of interest to community media center boards and staff, municipalities and cable advisory committees. With changing technology, legislation, rulemakings, fiscal and more happening, what is a good outcome for communities and how do you get there.
