Fairhaven Cable Access Department
recently lost its director, Bobby Bruso, due to a sudden illness. Even
though he had been with the town for a relatively short time, he
managed to re-energize cable access and to bring state-of-the-art
equipment. He left a lasting impact on his coworkers at Town Hall, but
also on the residents of Fairhaven. He built a studio from the ground
up, but also set up a platform to livestream meetings, promoted the
town through his videos and photography, or reached out to the
residents, businesses or groups of the town to get involved in cable
access. He had a very innovative and forward-thinking take on
technology and community media.

As a way to honor him, the Selectmen proclaimed that the studio, that
he created, would be named after him. Please read the story about it

I worked closely with Bobby and had been following his work at the
Town of Fairhaven. I will always remember how enthusiastic he was when
he attended the 2017 ACM – NE Region Conference & Trade Show, last
November. He repeatedly told me that the seminars were outstanding.

The Fairhaven Board of Selectmen and his coworkers asserted that his
legacy will live on.

Respectfully,
